Our Origins

The Bison Energy Report was founded in 2022 by Liam Caulfield, during his time as an electrical engineer concentrating in sustainable energy at Bucknell University.  Growing up on Long Island, NY, Liam was born with a passion for nature and helping others.  From his experiences on humanitarian trips to West Virginia and the country of Nicaragua, he developed his own goal for the future: to help spread clean, renewable power to those that need it.  As an undergraduate at Bucknell, he had the opportunity to take part in a number of projects involving renewables in and around the Lewisburg, PA area.  In founding The Bison Energy Report, Liam hoped to spread awareness and enthusiasm for the ever-evolving energy sector, and inform people how they might take advantage of the opportunity that is everywhere.

The inspiration for the name Bison Energy Report comes from the animal that once roamed across the Great Plains of the US in massive herds.  As an inherently American animal, its near-extinction and slow return represents the change occurring across the energy industry.
